<itunes:subtitle>The Sugar Hollows is “some kind of rock band" from Richmond, VA. The band was formed in 2020 when Mike and Gabe became neighbors in an apartment complex during the nationwide lockdown and heard each other playing music through the walls one day. A few jam sessions here and there quickly became a number of gigs throughout Virginia and North Carolina where the two played covers by the likes of Jim Croce, Brent Cobb, Lord Huron, Kings of Leon, and everything in between. </itunes:subtitle>

A few jam sessions here and there quickly became a number of gigs throughout Virginia and North Carolina where the two played covers by the likes of Jim Croce, Brent Cobb, Lord Huron, Kings of Leon, and everything in between. By 2022, they had recruited new members, Sean and Noah, to join their journey and released the band's first singles ‘Follow the River’ and 'Sweet Virginia Girl." Their debut self-titled album included 10 songs and was released in 2023.
After the release, which garnered some positive regional and national press, the band embarked on their maiden east coast tour with stops in every major city from Georgia to Delaware including Tennessee where they appeared on multiple festival lineups and radio shows.
The group's follow up sophomore album ‘Radio Waves’ was released in May of 2024 and included another 10 original songs that really began to identify who The Sugar Hollows are and the direction they are heading as they continue to explore new ways to communicate their music. 2025 sees The Sugar Hollows continuing to grow and playing their most notable shows yet including performances at FloydFest, Riverrock, and Altria Theater.
